What We Believe

Some people say that everything is different now.

We disagree

The tools of communication change. The principles remain the same. As technology magnifies our reach, the value of clear thinking and precise communication becomes greater.

Clarity and precision are what we do at P.S.I. Selling.

Meet The Team

Mike Pinkel is the Founder of P.S.I. Selling.

Mike's background is only partly what you'd expect. He's served as a sales leader at multiple companies and been a successful frontline seller. Before that ... he graduated from Yale Law School.

On the leadership side, Mike founded the Mid-Market Sales Team at Coursera, where he was named Manager of the Year, hit over 130% of goal, and was a key player in growing the enterprise business from ~$3M ARR to ~$180M ARR. He also served as the VP of Sales at a Series A startup, where he led a team of 13 including both AEs and SDRs.

Before that, he was a successful frontline seller in a variety of settings, including enterprise sales, SMB sales, and government sales.

He developed the the P.S.I. Selling methodology by combining that practical sales experience with the rigorous methods of advocacy he learned as a lawyer. After getting his JD at Yale, Mike clerked for two federal judges and worked as a litigator.

His hobbies include reading history books, watching sports car races, and taking road trips up the California coast in his little convertible.

For more from Mike on business topics, check out his article on structuring software demos for impact or his post on The Hidden-Gem Hiring Process. If you're interested history, check out his article on medieval castles or his post on the Second World War.

His sales content is available on the P.S.I. Content Page. His thoughts on history and racing are on his personal blog.
